The Tracer III-SD incorporate a proprietary Silicon Drift Detectors (SDD) which provide high speed data acquisition, better resolution than traditional SiPIN detectors and light element sensitivity. Ultimate light element sensitivity can be achieved when the TRACER 5i, Tracer III-SD or Tracer IV-SD is operated with the optional vacuum system.
